All learning provided under RSE will be appropriate to the age and developmental stage of the learner. Each progression step will be engaged differently, and only ever in ways suitable for their age and understanding - for example, for some learners this will simply mean talking about self-esteem and how to communicate feelings.

Relationships and sexuality education (RSE) is an innovative part of the new Curriculum For Wales. The RSE statements of learning from the RSE Code have been grouped  into progressive sub-strands to form our curriculum.  The table below shows the topics that make up our whole school RSE curriculum. 

At Woodlands we feel it is essential to work with our families to build a RSE curriculum that suits the needs of our learners. Families will be invited to attend Parent Cafe regularly to discuss and co-construct the content our RSE curriculum.
