Our Journey as a Federation...…
On the 8th January 2018 Riverbank School, Ty Gwyn School and Woodlands High School formally federated creating the Western Learning Campus Federation with a combined roll of 400 pupils, all with significant additional learning needs.
A single Governing Body was constituted and on the 15th February 2018, an Executive Head Teacher was appointed. Cardiff Council’s decision to include Riverbank School and Woodlands High School in their 21st Century Schools Band B Programme proposals will increase the capacity to 600 pupils, the largest additional learning needs complex in Europe.
